 Join RockTape’s Susannah Money-Schenk for our comprehensive Equine Movement Taping course. This 1 day course will detail the benefits and techniques for the rider (pain, inflammation, and posture), and horse (pain, inflammation, and movement correction) to improve muscle function and maintain a level of functionality and comfort for the horse throughout the rehabilitation process. 

Course Outline:

  1. Theory of kinesiology taping
  2. Equine case study discussion
  3. Equestrian regional (muscle and joint), and postural taping applications.
  4. Tendon and ligament injury taping applications
  5. Pain management taping applications
  6. Lumbosacral and sacroilliac taping applications
  7. Oedema / inflammation taping applications

 

Who can attend?

the course is aimed at Veterinarians, Veterinary nurses, Veterinary physiotherapists,  Equine Osteopaths, Equine Chiropractors, Equine Physical Therapists, Equine Massage Therapists/BodyWorkers and Equine trainers with all levels of experience with taping.

The course will be taught with the assumption of general equine handling skills and anatomical and physiological knowledge. Attendees should understand the functional anatomy with regard to the musculoskeletal system, and be able to palpate and recognise the equine anatomy. Participants should be confident in handling horses, understand equine behaviour and be comfortable working with and around different equine personalities.

Where: Oxford Brooks, Oxford.

When: Saturday 24th September 2022, Full day – times TBC

Includes: Course notes, Tape, Morning/Afternoon tea.

CPD: A personal certificate of attendance with CPD hours will be issued upon completion

**Given the ever evolving situation with the Covid-19 virus whilst we will do everything we can to give you as much notice as possible if we have to postpone our seminars, there may be occasions over the coming months where we have to cancel seminars at very short notice. We will endeavor to reschedule affected seminars for later in the year. Unfortunately we’re not able to refund travel expenses related to cancelled/rescheduled seminars**
