Day 1/ Course 1 Spinal Mobilisation (8 hours CPD)

 

 

This course is designed for the front-line practitioner who wishes to improve their skills and or learn new mobilisation/articulation techniques. With a global body approach, participants will learn to implement effective mobilisation techniques and ideology which can immediately be combined with current clinical practice style. Course participants will be shown how to integrate various approaches to treatment along with fundamental principles of joint mobilisation. The course is practically based giving students lots of hands-on practice to develop confidence in the correct application of techniques

  • Theory and Concepts of Mobilisation: including Mulligan, Maitland and Osteopathic joint articulation techniques
  • Research Review
  • C3 – C7
  • Cervico Thoracic junction
  • Thoracic Spine
  • Lumbar Spine
  • Sacro Iliac Joint
  • Summery

 

 Course Learning Objectives:

  • Be able to demonstrate a range of complex Lumbar Spine and Thoracic Spine techniques on models with different morphologies
  • Be able to demonstrate a range of complex techniques to the junctional areas of the spine on models with different morphologies
  • Be able to demonstrate a range of complex Cervical Spine techniques on models with different morphologies
  • Utilise palpation skills to inform the application and modification of techniques and make them specific and effective
  • Explain to patients the purpose, risks and process of a technique clearly and coherently.

Includes: Course notes, pre reading notes

CPD: A personal certificate of attendance with CPD hours will be issued upon completion.
